With most of the major planning out of the way, we now turn our energies on the details. With just 4 weeks to go, we are tasked with finalizing headcounts, schedule of events and event logistics, which in my opinion is probably the hardest. There are so many moving parts to your special day that you can't think of them all. For instance....run of show - what will happen and when? Logistics on to-and-from the ceremony, the list goes on and on.
However, the biggest and probably the MOST important piece is the ceremony itself. Huge. Our dear friends Bruce and Dale Wheeler have been a huge help. Bruce, as some of you know, will be our "Deputy Commissioner for a Day". I.e. he's going to marry us. It's a huge honor for us, and they have taken it very seriously. This is good. They've been married a long time. Happily. That has to bode well for us right? Bruce and Dale have furnished us with reading material, questions and ideas to help plan ours and it's going to be like a wedding you've never seen. Show up on Nov 14th and find out.
Finally, you're probably wondering why I am using the image on the left as part of this post. I use this image as a reminder to ourselves how goofiness can be an excellent remedy when your minds are running with 1000 things to consider. Sure there are a lot of little details, things not going as planned, etc. But in the end...all you need is love. Peace.
