Meet the happy couple. This is Ricky & Britt. They are getting married on Nov. 14th.
Ricky and Britt meet while working at Yahoo! back in 1999. That's not a typo.
Ricky remembers the first day Britton started working at Yahoo!: "She was wearing this polka-dotted skirt that revealed her toned legs. As a cyclist, I was smitten." Britton remembers when she first met Ricky: "He was wearing a rugby shirt. Not cute". Ricky pursued Britt like a lion pursues a gazelle. From frequent road trips in his BMW convertible, to dragging Britt on furniture shopping trips, he did whatever he could to show her he was a cool guy. Eventually she let her guard down over tacos & beers and a day spent at Angel Island. They briefly pulled over just before the Golden Gate Bridge, where Britt practically attacked him with their first kiss. Britt's version varies, but you get the idea.
Since then Ricky's fashion sense has grown, thankfully, and won't be caught dead in his 1999 wardrobe, while Britt continues to instill on Ricky her knowledge of travel (she's been to over 15 countries!), food (Brittscotti) and athleticism (She's run a marathon or two). Ricky bestows upon Britt his sense of adventure (He made her jump out of a plane at 18,000ft), spontaneity (see previous) and creativity (Ricky is quite the filmmaker & photog). Ultimately they make a great couple who complement each other with their personalities but also maintain a great sense of independence that allows them to grow as both individuals and as a couple.
